YHN is a large organisation, with around 850 members of staff. We have four directorates:
- Chief Executive's Office (around 20 staff)
- Business Development (around 80 staff)
- Finance and Resources (around 100 staff)
- Tenancy Services (around 650 staff)
Chief Executive's Office - this is made up of our Senior Management Team, their support staff, and three teams that tackle Equalities and Diversity, Governance, and Communications.
Business Development - this is made up of teams such as Investment Delivery, who are managing our Modern Homes Investment programme, Business Strategy, which is responsible for YHN's policies, strategies and performance management, Organisational Development and Tenant Involvement.
Finance and Resources - this is made up of teams such as Finance, Human Resources, Income, IT, and a Central Services team that can be broken down into four areas: Admin, Facilities Management, Health and Safety and Right to Buy.
Tenancy Services - this is made up of the frontline teams that provide housing management services to our tenants and leaseholders. Many of the staff in this directorate work in one of the 14 Community Housing Offices we run across the City. It also includes the additional Citywide services that we offer to customers to improve their quality of life, such as a dedicated Advice and Support team, and Newcastle Furniture Service, which provides tenants with furnished accommodation, garden care and child safety equipment - helping them turn houses into homes.
