About Vestey Group

Vestey Foods Group comprises thirteen food companies specialising in the import, storage and distribution of a wide variety of foodstuffs from global suppliers into the various local market places in which we operate. They have a combined turnover of £500m p.a. and principally trade beef, pork, lamb, poultry, game, fish, seafood and convenience products into some 70 countries.

Vestey are a young group, largely formed through acquisitions in the last ten years, and in September 2007 they brought the thirteen companies into the single identity of Vestey Foods. The new name combines the longstanding traditions within the 110-year old Vestey family business with a dynamic, customer-focused approach of all of their management teams. They have well-established relationships with key suppliers and operate to strict quality control standards to ensure that product is delivered to customers the world over on time and correctly documented to full food safety requirements.

As part of the 100% family-owned Vestey Group, they are one of two main business functions of the business, the other being farming in Brazil and Venezuela.

Vestey Foods UK Ltd formally Global Group Trading Ltd was acquired by Vestey Group from Global plc in 2003. With strategically located regional offices throughout the UK, Vestey Foods UK is one of the country's leading meat importers/distributors.

Vestey Foods UK has established quality consistency in all operational areas, service commitments to both producers and customers and technical expertise ensuring products continue to meet standards required in food safety, animal welfare and finished quality.
