To compensate for this, employees may aggregate any additional hours worked in a two month period, to a maximum of 7.5 hours, to be taken as an additional leave day in the following month. The maximum number of days which may be aggregated in a 12 month period is 5.

Ufi Ltd also recognises that there may be occasions when it is beneficial to the organisation for an individual to take time away from the office environment in order to complete a particular piece of work at home. Such occasions would need to be by prior agreement with the Line Manager and in accordance with service needs. At these times it may be possible to have access to a lap top computer for home use.

Special/Unpaid Leave

Ufi Ltd recognises that there are occasions when it may be necessary to take time away from work for a variety of reasons, outside of normal leave arrangements. Ufi Ltd makes a major commitment to the continuous development of its employees. Within the budget available and operational demands, people will be encouraged to attend at least one professional update per year. Requests for support in relation to longer-term development will be considered through a business case to the Director and HR.
