The Trust’s Finance Department is under new leadership following the appointment of Alastair Matthews to the post of Director of Finance and Investment. Alastair has a wealth of private sector experience, having been Finance Director of Ordnance Survey and Computer Sciences Corporation. The Finance management team has also been improved and extended in advance of the Trust’s Foundation Trust application.
Although there is currently a strong team of over 60 people in the finance department, new investment has encouraged us to recruit more staff to ensure we are ready to face the challenges of being a Foundation Trust. We are actively seeking talented individuals, with or without NHS experience, to complete the team.
We use leading edge Oracle financial systems provided for us by NHS Shared Business Services. The team is based at Southampton General Hospital, Southampton and we can offer a good career structure as well as a high level of support for training and development.
