Sheffield has a long history of innovation and the University is at the forefront of this and of the economic and cultural development of the city region.
Our city campus is situated in Sheffield's vibrant city centre. Major regeneration projects have transformed the area in recent years and an exciting masterplan introduced in 2008 looks set to continue this development into the future. The University's own high-tech facilities are a central part of this development.
As the greenest city in England you are never far from one of more than 200 parks, woodlands or gardens, including the Victorian Botanical Gardens, the dramatic new Winter Garden in the city centre and peaceful riverside walks.
To the west of the city lies the breathtaking countryside of the Peak District National Park.
The city campus is based next to Sheffield’s train and coach stations and has easy access to the M1. It is in the heart of the city centre, next to shopping areas, art galleries, theatres, cinemas bars and cafés and the recently developed Winter Gardens. There is plenty to do and see in your lunch break or after work.
