"The majority of SCA staff have less than a 30 minute journey to travel into work, with the average (from a straw poll) at between 20-25 minutes.
From monitoring of the European Union working time directive, the highest 17 week average of hours worked a week, by any member of staff or management, was 43, but on average the number of additional hours above contracted hours, works out to less than one hour per week.
The average number of training days received by individual staff in 2007/8 was 8 days.

- Mr A is in his early sixties working in Kent and has recently changed roles as an Assistant Audit Manager on a full time contract, to an Operational Auditor on a 3 day week, with flexibility about which days are worked to fit in with operational requirements.
- Mrs B is a Senior Auditor working in Surrey who has a term-time contract equivalent to 20 hrs per week, but only works during term-time.
- Mrs C is an Audit Manager with a background in Internal Audit within the banking sector. She works a 3 day week, with flexibility about which days are worked to fit in with client needs.
- Mrs D is an Operational Auditor working in Kent on an annualised hours contract equivalent to 20.75 hours a week and based around term-time working and school hours. She is CIPFA qualified and a former Head of Internal Audit.
