There are numerous towns in the area to visit, each offering something unique and different to the other. Barnstaple itself is the agricultural centre of North Devon and has also won Britain in Bloom on a number of occasions. There is also the market town of Bideford, the fishing village of Appledore with its visual Arts festival and charming Clovelly with its cobbled streets and pirate history all close by.
The Cathedral City of Exeter is just 40 miles away and offers a wealth of shopping, dining and trendy bars as well as a number of other attractions. Exeter airport also flies to a number of international and domestic locations.
