Group Financial Controller (Newcastle)

c£80,000 + Final Salary Pension + 35 Days Holiday + Additional Benefits

Supporting the Group Finance Director, you will lead and mentor an experienced team in the delivery of effective financial support service to provide influence and challenge through the decision making process.  You will analyse new business opportunities to identify the potential contribution into the Group.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Presentation to the Executive Board of financial reports, budgetary review and business performance.
• Operating at a strategic level to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Consolidation of financial and management information, including business wide trend analysis.
• Manage and develop a strong finance team to exceed expectations within the business.
• Supporting non-financial senior managers to appreciate the financial implications of the operational decisions.

About you:

As a qualified accountant, you will have the energy & enthusiasm to join a dynamic and ambitious organisation with the drive to operate strategically but understand the key business drivers.

You will have a wide range of strategic financial experience to date and have particular strength in high level financial and management accounting.

You will have strong communication skills to be able to effectively challenge and influence strategic decision making effectively whilst translating complex financial issues into plain English.
