Message from Esme Winch – Group Finance Director

Thank you for your interest in the role of Head of Financial Analysis and Projects with Newcastle College Group (NCG). 

2007/2008 was a highly successful year for us.  We acquired TWL Training Ltd and parts of Carter & Carter Group (in administration), we merged with Skelmersdale & Ormskirk College and successfully tendered for new contracts and business. 

Alongside this rapid growth we have continued with our £250 million capital development programme, which saw the £8 million redevelopment of the restored grade II listed Rye Hill House, £8.6 million redevelopment of the Sandyford Building, a £3.3 million expansion of the Newcastle Aviation Academy and a new £2.3 million Construction Academy in Lancashire.  There’s more to plan.

As a result of this growth, we have created this new role for Head of Financial Analysis and Projects to enable us to continue to maximise our growth potential across the UK, through mergers, acquisitions and new business through contracting and tendering.
