I am delighted you are considering applying for a job at the Finance Department of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).

CUH is a leading clinical and academic centre with a national and international reputation for excellence. As one of the largest and busiest hospitals in the country you would expect us to be at the cutting edge of financial developments within the NHS. We run a clinically lead divisional structure based on business units with their own financial support. These business units are encouraged to continually develop their service offering through a blend of innovation, quality and financial rigour. This culture of innovation is paramount to responding to the financial pressures within the NHS and we look to professionals able to step up to these challenges.

Being a Foundation Trust, we have a degree of autonomy as an organisation that enables us to look at solutions in a new way. Our 2020 vision and development of the site as a Cambridge Biomedical Campus are testimonials to this. Two specific examples currently under scrutiny are the Children’s Hospital and “the Forum”, a private hospital, hotel and education complex. And as you would expect, the Finance team is very much engaged with such initiatives.
