Redditch is located in the West Midlands, in the Worcestershire countryside fourteen miles south of Birmingham; it allows for easy access to the city and is also within easy reach of the Cotswolds and Shakespeare country. It is a town which has a history dating back over 600 years but which really established itself during he 1800’s as its industry developed and it became well known for manufacturing bicycles. In the 1960’s Redditch was given New Town designation as the population and infrastructure grew significantly.

Today Redditch is a beautifully landscaped community with well laid out residential and industrial areas and first class parks, recreation and leisure facilities. The town centre offers an array of entertainment to suit all tastes with over 20 cafes and restaurants, 47 pubs, a theatre and a seven screen cinema complex. The recently refurbished Kingfisher Centre is home to over 150 shops and is at the heart of the town centre.

Redditch is one of the greenest towns in the country and has 200 acres of parks and woodland. The main park is the Arrow Valley Park with its 30 acre lake which offers fishing, sailing, windsurfing and an award winning Nature Centre. Other attractions around Redditch include the archaeological site of Bordesley Abbey and the Elizabethan stately homes of Ragley Hall and Coughton Court.

Redditch is also central to many major road networks and is just a few minutes drive from the M42 and within easy reach of the M40, M5, M6, M6 Toll and M1 (via M69), a regular bus service also operates between Redditch and Birmingham. Birmingham New Street is at the centre of the UK rail network and only 90 minutes from London Euston and 80 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly. London Midland Trains operate a regular service between Birmingham New Street and Redditch.
