Archirodon Group Work throughout the Middle East, North Africa and East Asia. Specialising in four core areas of buildings, marine works, industrial construction, and roads and bridges.

Archirodon are currently involved with a number of landmark projects and have recently delivered Sports Stadia for the Showpiece Athens Olympics.

The Sheikh Zayed Bridge

The Sheikh Zayed Bridge will be the third bridge to the island on which Abu Dhabi is situated. The highway bridge will have four lanes, an emergency lane and a pedestrian walkway in each direction.

The bridge is about 68 metres in width and 842 metres in length, with a central steel arch span of 234 metres. The central pier alone contains enough concrete to cover a football pitch to a height of five metres. The steel arch cross-sections are up to 6 x 8 metres. The bridge is due for completion in 2006.

• The Wadi Leban 762 m Cable stayed bridge – Riyadh
• Marine Bridge – Bahrain , Precast post-tensioned segmental cable stayed 5 span, 225 metre long , 34 metre wide.
• Athens Olympic Stadium – the 85000 seat stadium was built in two- level stands, supported by 34 twin pylons.

Marine Works

One of the top Marine Contractors internationally, Archirodon has carried out the construction of many general and specialised ports, container terminals, berths piers and jetties. With a proven record in Dredging, reclamation, shore protection, offshore pipelaying, sea intakes and outfalls, Archirodon has the capability to deliver across a broad range of marine projects.

Current projects include –

New offshore loading facilities – Ruwais, Abu Dhabi

• The construction of a new loading jetty, 2.5 km long, for loading of oil and LNG. Work carried out in proximity to a live Petrochem terminal.

New Port Extension – Oman

• Raysut Container Terminal, Salalah Oman. Includes 1200m of concrete blockwork quaywall in 15m of water to form four container ship berths.

Previous work

• Palm Island , Dubai , UAE. Construction of the crescent shaped 12 km long breakwater.
• Extension of Dhow wharfage – Dubai. Including 3250m of quaywall construction, dredging, reclamation and Building.

Industrial activities

Archirodon has carried out projects for oil, gas, desalination and petrochemical facilities, power generation and water /sewage treatment plants and networks.

Projects include –

• Medina – Yanbu MSF Desalination and Power Plant , Saudi Arabia – A turnkey project executed in consortium, consits of four desalination plants with a total production capacity of 143600 cu.m / day.
• Shoaiba – Steam Power Plant , Saudi Arabia ( 5 x 350 MW) complete turbine building and tank area.
• Messaieed Industrial City , Qatar - Topside facilities for Qatar Petroleum multiproducts Berth.
